Default Blackberries

Is there any way to swap data between 2 Blackberries? Simple on a Nokia yet can't see any way to do it on the Blackberry

Thanks, TX.

PS. By data I mean contacts, images, ringtones etc.

Software is bundled with your phone and is a piece of cake to use, backup old phone, copy across to new phone.

As has been said, Desktop Manager will take care of that.

Pictures and ringtones can be stored on the MicroSD cards, just swap the cards, it's quicker and easier than Desktop Manager. If it's on BES the contacts will come down automatically after activation.

Get an Android and let Google look after all your data

(Not sure if this really is a good thing or not, but did import all my contacts into Gmail when I got the droid )

Dont need Android for that, any phone that runs Google Sync (inc a berry) will do that for you Tis a very handy thing. I like being able to manage all my calenders and contacts while not even on the phone, and know it will all be up to date when I pick the phone up next.

However it wont copy over the other data such as images, ringtones and other settings. Thats where DM is good, especially for seemless change over on BBM

Got to admit that when I got my Blackberry, I was expecting a ****-storm of grief getting it updated and sync'd up with my Mac/life.

After using my iPhone, it's something that you do tend to take for granted, until you start thinking about it....

Much to my pleasant surprise (and shock tbc), flawlessly simply and quick. Granted this IS on OS7, but iirc, Wifey had the same experience going from her Android phone to her OS6-based Blackberry.... and without my help

The old phrase rings so true, "haters will still want to hate".....

Dan, just takes a little common sense, and an open mind eh, lol, not one filled with hatred.
What handset are you using then? Not many on 7 yet. I must confess I like it though.

Running a Torch 9810 mate. VERY impressed so far. Even signed up to the Blackberry Beta Zone for testing software. As long as its all backed up, you're laughing. And the Desktop software is (now) very good for the Mac.

Liking 7 though - Wife has 6 (Torch 9800), and I quite like that, but 7 is just that little bit more polished. Not convinced with QNX though (yet)

I get facebook requests with bbm pins. The whole concept is strange imho. That sais, in the poster's defence, he might just want to speak with more people - we all come on forums for different reasons: one of those may even be social interraction
