Default And my TV choice was...

Thanks for all the input on my other thread.

After much deliberation I went for a Samsung UE40D5000 which is a thing of beauty.

Now it is set up at home I am pleased with my choice even with it running on a free view box as my HD isnt being installed until Saturday.

I paid £479 from Currys (yes I know pete ) I've not even price checked on the Internet yet either but having spent a fair time comparing nearly all 40 and 42 inch tv's it just wouldn't have been right to go away and buy off the net, my view on Internet shopping is it's fine unless I have gone to a shop to view. As one day shops won't exist if we all do this.

Thanks again for advice.

not a bad choice at all, I installed a D5520 into a customers house recently and it looks rather tasty. Give it about a week or two to bed in and it will look even better.

That's a very good price, can't get it much lower than that after having a quick nose.

Good tv's aren't they, i found mine too bright and had to knock it back a fair margin, just shows how much contrast the things have.
