Some archaeologists are exploring a Greek city that's been submerged beneath 3-4m of water for about 1500 years.
If the sea level rose that much that long ago, doesn't that kind of upset the ecomentalist argument

The world has been 25+ degrees warmer, along with 20+ degrees colder.
The Ecomentalists as you call them want to keep the world as it is now, with the same plants and animals, same temp etc etc.
We need less people, its not about anything else. There are too many humans, not enough land/food/fuel etc.

There are 148.94 million sq km, thats 57 million square miles or 36 billion and 800 million square acres of land on earth and there are about 4.4 billion adults (15-64) on earth atm, that is rougly 9 acres of land for every adult, your average london appartment takes about 0,008 acres. Yes, you may feel cramped, but it has nothing to do with the number of people on our planet.
Not enough food ?
Out of those 57 million square miles, 12 million square miles is arable land, a land that is suitable for growing crops right away, only about 1% of that land is actually used for growing crops or other food cultures..
As it has been said times over, there are simply too many lazy, fat, money-hungry men who own these lands and contribute nothing, who only create an illusion of importance.
Who is going to grow your food, when 50% of your workforce is involved in "service industries ?" and the other 50% are producing pens and other non-esential goods, next time you are at the tescos, ask yourself, do you really need such a huge selection of paper to wipe your **** with ?
And at the same time, there is a 30% combined unemployment in many non-industrialized countries, while developed countries have on average 8% unemployment, this contributes to about 1 billion unemployed people worldwide aged 17-64 and 500 million people live in "absolute poverty" and 3 billion people struggle to survive on $2/day.
Next time you are walking around the office, think about your own contribution to this world.
