I'm addicted to reality ... and the reality is that you kiddies (under 40's) have borrowed and borrowed to have more and more material stuff.
Now it's harder to borrow - shops are not selling and BANG things go badly wrong.
And the chickens are coming home to roost ...... which is why we are in the mess we are!

Labour were MEN ..... look at Cameron and Osborne - Boys ... little rich Eton Boys who haven't earned a days pay in their lives. All their wealth is hand-me-down wealth!

You do talk some crap sometimes.. previously i've read some of your threads with a degree of interest... but if you're going to continue making statements like this then i don't think i'll bother any more. sanctimonious old git springs to mind.

would you rather entrust the running of the country to some uneducated fool just because you would class him as a "man" then?

So? Anyone want to have a guess at which retailer will announce their demise this week?

To be honest you've done well not to reach this conclusion much sooner, March till September. Pete's the resident champagne Socialist, with about the highest sense of Schadenfreude of anyone that's ever been on the board. His speciality is avoiding tricky questions. But that's inevitable when you don't really have a clue what you're talking about in the first place

The only government which I think was worth a light was Attlee's after WW2.
Politicians in those days were in the job in a genuine desire to do good for the people and this country. Those were the days when they were looked up to and trusted and really were men of honour.
His government did so much for the people both on the side of education and giving a true chance to children from all backgrounds to get a top education if they had the ability to prove themselves as well as generally improving the lot of the population.
They also started the NHS which was always the envy of the world and made it possible for poorer people to get medical attention which normally they could never have afforded.
It is such a shame that modern day politicians have lost their way and any thought for the people is of little importance compared with their personal careers. They are past masters at coming up with big sounding initiatives which eventually come to nothing when it has all been conveniently forgotten about. Everything is done for political gain and no longer in an honest manner for the sake of this country.
Their example set by the expenses scandal has belittled them all in the eyes of the public of course, but somehow one gets the impression that they consider all that to be of little importance really. I wonder what has happened to a "public conscience" these days!
