Jane Eyre (flim)
Watched it last week. Pretty damn good actually, really enjoyed it, good performances etc.
It's was pretty funny, most of the audience were archetypal middle-aged middle-class, plus some giggling younger middle-class women.
No Chavs in sight.
I also just read Wuthering Heights which I have always overlooked and it is an excellent read. Never appreciated it until now...think we read it at school and would have hated it for that reason...need to be a bit older to 'get it'. It works on so many levels and is a gold mine.

I did actually see it pop up on ice films in the week, and thought it looked worth a watch.
I remember reading it a few years back, as well as Wide Sargaso Sea. It's probably worth reading that first, in my opinion. As it's set before Jane meets Mr Rochester.

Well Wide Sargaso Sea isn't actually written by any Bronte sisters, but I've not read it though so can't comment on its virtue.
