Driver - the movie
Anyone seen it? I watched it last night and wasn't impressed It had a plot as complicated as Disney Cars, really poor car chases and loads of brain splatting violence And don't get me started on the weird grinning
I fancy seeing Fastest but starting to doubt my choice in films

ok so i couldn't find the film from the names you mentioned. i guess you mean 'Drive' and 'Faster'.
we just watched Drive after reading this and WTF. is it good, is it bad I just cannot work out what was going on at the end and why it took over an hour for anything at all to happen. IMDB gives it an unusually high rating and rotten tomatoes give it a 9.7 out of 10. Am I missing something.
Faster next, see what cr@p this is then.

I saw this yesterday and wanted to leave half-way through.
The cinematography was awesome and so was the sounds, but it was just regurgitated Tarantino/Rodriguez pulp violence, mixed with Collateral style visuals/cool, and stuff borrowed from classic car movies.
I just found it all terribly superficial and BORING because of that. It was just pointless and shallow. How many lingering shots of Ryan Phillips' face do you need?
The younger people in the audience seemed to lap it up though, but I was really disappointed.
