My best mate just passed away.
Many of you will remember that I posted during August that my oldest mate had been diagnosed with liver cancer.
I finally got to see him yesterday afternoon, it was one of the hardest things I've EVER had to do, he was in a state and looked awful.
He died this morning at 10 am. Sixty years old this August.
RIP Rick, remembered with love.

i lost my best mate to cancer aged only 21 so be grateful for all those added years of friendship but commiserations also, and don't drink too much if at all.

Sorry to hear that, it's never easy losing a loved one or someone close. I have lost a younger sister and earlier this year my mum. RIP.

A great friend of mine has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer, it's heartbreaking.
Live life to the full, this ain't a practice run.

Knew someone who had brian tumor a few years ago , i wasnt a close friend but went to see him at teh begining ( he lasted 9 months ) with a closer mate - dint go again , kind of cowardly im afraid

My dad went the same way. Was very quick (relatively) in the end. Went in to hospital for a biopsy, was gone before the end of the day. Was a massive shock at the time, I'd never thought he was that ill.

I'm 65 years young and a very, very good friend and shooting pal of mine who I grew up with, died in his late 30's; I still miss him all these years later.

Im sorry to hear this Jeff. My closest friend died of liver cancer when she was in her early thirties (having previously suffered from breast cancer)_ very sad.
