London, more stabbings
This in the news today,

There was another the other day where someone was stabbed to death at a party, a 17 year old male.
How is it that when a guy gets shot by the Pollice World War three starts but Londerners seem to be killing each other with knives every other day and nothing happens ? there are specific initiatives to target knife crime but the Police/Government can only do so much.

He was a 14 year old, the second kid to die by stabbing in London in 5 days. What is it with these black kids that they need to go around stabbing each other. Something needs to be done, quickly.

These communities do seem very quiet when it comes to their children killing each other but heaven forbid a cop does so - RIOT!
I wonder how long before The Guardian brigade arrive to blame the police/gov't/everything except the kids and thier parents and defend the indefensible
There seems to be very little in the way of aspirations and ambition past being a 'gangsta', you can blame anyone you like but it rests with the individual what path they take and it is not always the easiest that is best. Self respect is a good start, not respec' through fear and how big the wheels are on your ride or the calibre and willingness to use your 'bean shooter'
And yes i know it is not all kids but knife and gun crime is now a daily occurrence!

When I think back to earlier times, it is dreadful to hear about all these stabbings etc these days. Their state of mind must be a very big worry thinking towards the future.

Give them all a gun, plenty of ammo, and a very confined space. Let them exurt all their frustrations out on each other, then bury the lot of them.
Repeat in every Council estate around the country.

Why isn't there a mandatory sentence for anyone carrying a knife?
I suggest 3 years minimum regardless of circumstances & previous convictions.
And I do mean 3 years(no reduction).
Also 10 year minimum for carrying a gun,real or replica,or any ammunition.
There is no excuse for carrying a knife or a gun.
Just to stop people coming on here saying 'I have to have a knife for my work'; please give the police some credit.If you are a working man & have one in your tool kit & it's not of the stabbing variety then you will be ok.

Twelve per cent of London’s men are black. But 54 per cent of the street crimes committed by men in London, along with 46 per cent of the knife crimes and more than half of the gun crimes, are thought by the Metropolitan Police to have been committed by black men.

Yes, London is a big place but this all happens in certain areas, not Knightsbridge, City, Golders Green or whatever, its all in specific areas which are black communities, all young black men.
There are loads of theories as to why it happens, a lot involve the white community self flagellating that it is there fault and perhaps partly it is, but I don't buy it, any other theories that lay the blame with the black community seem to be treated as being racist.
