Smile laptop confusion

Iv a 11 year old dell ( static) which i might replace with laptop ,only thing puts me off is the possiblity that the sound could be worse - the old dell has non integrated soundcard 2 small speakers and boom box thing harmon/kardon

The sound on most laptops I've encountered is poor to be fair, but they do usually have an output for connecting external speakers

i just connect externall speakers very loud then

or yes , i was thinking of just plugging these ones in - into the usb port

- i spect this is all by the by now lol - i mean you can get t'internet stright out your telly now , right

SPDIF outputs on laptops are becoming increasingly common, so if you can find one of those within budget it'll probably be your best bet for distortion and noise-free sound, assuming your amp has an SPDIF input, obviously.
