Torchwood
WTF is that all about then?
First time I've ever watched it - what have I missed?
Looked quite good but I'm non the wiser to what/who 'they' are.
Someone fill me in, please?
(not literally!)
I happened to like the scene with the still alive blown-up body

It was the usual torchwood, Dr Who for grown ups LOL...........until the end when they showed what was in the rest of the series. Seems like I've seen it all and can guess the plot

I feel a little out of touch with this telly lark.
Edit - Hang on a minute - Cardiff?
It's set in Cardiff?
How bleddy bizarre. I knew the Welshies were odd, all pointy heads and long chins...

I will watch it, of course I will, but it has been Americanised somewhat. Not sure if that's a good idea. It's always going to have some gay stuff in it, it's Russell T Davis we're talking about and he can't help himself. The scene with the blown up body was cringeworthy. I never thought they'd show it when they lifted the sheet. The BBC would never show that!

I gave up on last nights episode half way through, i did not think much to the previous one either (pt1) but thats oftern the way with a new series of a long running show.
Loved the old torchwood, great show but i think they have ruined it from what i have seen so far.

Ruined!
I watched an old one the other day and I can't believe how far off the rails this has gone, hopefully they will revert back after this series. I'm really surprised it's gone so wrong when current doc who is quite good. Flying across the Atlantic isn't the most gripping thing to do, so why base the whole episode in it? Now there over in the states it will only get worse

I'm still watching this (anyone else?), however I feel I'm missing something, or maybe I fell asleep at the wrong time! Usually I find Rusell Davies scripts good, but feel that there's a gap I can't quite put my finger on.
So how exactly are Phicorp going to make money? Is it by running/owning the L1/L2 hospitals? Any why are they having rallies to show Phicorp are the business equivalent of the Messiah?
Unless I missed something it seems to me that they have glossed over this and simply created a huge shadowy corporation doing apparently noorty things (incinerating the L1's) just to try and give us a bad guy.
But surely we already cremate on some definition of death anyway (see mutliple other Sci-fi programs where they say things like "your definition of death is so out of date"). And there are plenty of current pharmaceutical in business today that treat the ill and yet still make a profit? How is this much different?
So what have I missed?
