It was between an Impreza or one of these for me (S2000) he was damn lucky here... do you think an Impreza would have handled this better?

To be honest an Impreza would probably have been spat out the wrong way due to the grip and 4 wheel drive but a great deal comes down to the driver.

That guy got lucky to be honest, I don't think that save was down the car!

That looked a pretty good save, I would expect a well planted Scoob would have eaten that corner up easily.
He did seem to be shifting mind.

It obviously wasn't his time. Lucky he missed the armco, don't they charge for barrier repairs?

That was massively lucky!! How far did he slide? The biggest problem is when you transition from slide to grip - which is where he nearly lost it!

At the last count £250 per section and 3 high! I don't know what it is now, that was about 8 years ago. The driver did well there no doubt at all

He did the amusing +1 octave voice that people do sometimes after being scared though.

I dont know the ring, and as soon as i saw that corner coming up i thought to myself "tooooo fast"

Wonder if he was coasting down, or hit the brakes at the wrong moment.

Wonder if it was an early S2k, didn't they have a rep for that sort of thing they fixed with later versions?

As said, VERY lucky to stay away from the armco, especially at those speeds.....

yeh you are rite i think they did have a reputation for doing unpredictable things near the limit. he didnt seem to provoke it either it not like he suddenly lifted mid corner and he didnt seem to heavy on the brakes either. must have been a bump mid corner that unsettled the rear?

Good save. I assume after that they drove to the nearest clothing store to replace their pants!

Looks like the car went down into a shallow dip before going over the rise on that corner, at that speed with the suspension unloading mid corner it was always going to go t**ts up.

There is a bump on that crest that it's best to get lined up for before you hit it as the car goes light over it.

Very lucky to stay out of the armco as not only would he have trashed his car but he would have been bankrupted replacing all that armco at Nurburgring prices...

Search you tube for 'schwedenkreuz crash'

There are plenty to chose from including a Subaru.

On the playstation you dont notice, but there is

a) -100m drop between Flugplatz and Schwedenkreuz so its easy to get wayyy to quick into that corner and

b) as above there is a big bump just on the entry!

Been some mega smashes over the years there.

I can normally get a scoob to fly into the armco backwards there (or a skyline, ferrari, lambo) on GT5! Tis the quickest way!

Oh, I notice it alright!! (comment for Billy)

The doors were not secured like we have today. In even a fairly a big crash the doors on a modern car are designed to stay closed.

Interesting to see how many cars just rolled all on their own when they hit max suspension travel they just toppled over
