Burglar Stabbed To Death Whilst Attempting To Break In...

Now I don't know all the facts but on the face of it a masked gang has tried to bust into a house and the property owner & his son/girlfriend have defended it and in the course of the attack, one of the burglars has been stabbed.
Interesting to see what happens now given Cameron's recent comments on defending your home. As at this time, all 3 of the people in the property have been arrested.

So, according to the Police, it's alright for a gang to break into someones house, beat the **** out of them, rob them, and maybe rape them.
Yet it's murder to defend yourself and your loved ones?
Cameron is right in everything he says. He just need to push it through now, with this case as his prime example.
Break into my property, and if I have time to load my Shotgun up, the ******* would get both Barrels right up their @rses. Try taking a **** with no a.reshole

Had the gang got the upper hand we could have been reading a very different story. Glad it turned out this way rather than the homeowner being robbed and stabbed

JUSTICE DONE......
If someone woke me up in the middle of the night trying to steal my Tv the first thing i would do is kill the thieving ****er.. I would not hesitate and believe this is right, if he was to kill me more than likely he would get 7years if i was to kill him i would serve 15years..Jokes..
New law needs passing, Protect your Home, assetts and family at any cost.

You cannot give the homeowner the right to do what they wish to intruders. Say a kid jumps over your back fence to nick an apple from your tree - should you have the right to shoot him? Of course not.
For the heavy serious stuff then yes the homeowner can do more or less what he wants.
Police advice to me when I went to live overseas was that when (not if) I shot an intruder to make sure that his body was found inside my property boundary.

Difficult one for a judge, seen to be giving free reign to kill anyone on your property or jail someone defending their property from armed thugs.
My mates dad lived in South Africa in the early seventies, he heard a gunshot and a commotion, goes out its his neighbour who has shot a black guy who had been caught on the way out of the house, had been shot in the ****/top of leg with a handgun and was bleeding profusely and wasnt very happy, my mates dad said he would go and call the Police and an Ambulance at which point his neighbour blew the guys brains out and when back inside, the Police came in the morning.

Dont try and steal what is not yours. Simple really.

If you are trying to break in to steal etc you leave any human rights at the threshold IMO because you obviously don't care about the person who's house you are trying to rob!

Agreed, if you go to burgle, then you forfeit all rights.
Given there was a gang of them, then there is clear intent... so no getting out of it..
No case to answer as far as i can see

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.i live and work within 10 miles of where Tony martin lives.so feeling on this is still strong in the area.plus i know of 2 other shooting at burglary's in the area in the last few years.no one hurt and they hardly made the local news.but people are still going to defend themselves even after seeing what happen to Tony martin .and hopefully this family will not suffer the same injustice

Where is the quote from Police "it's alright for a gang to break into someones house, beat the **** out of them, rob them, and maybe rape them. ?" Have you read a different article to the one posted above?
And who says "Yet it's murder to defend yourself and your loved ones?"

Here in Carlisle, a gang armed with knives and screwdrivers burst into a house looking to do some damage to the owner and the owner inficted some return retribution with an axe..........he was cleared of attempted manslaughter but was convicted of grievous bodily harm and got 5 years.
Looking at that case it's likely plod will charge them with manslaughter.
