Default Jewish court sentences dog to death by stoning

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/jewish-cour...170029405.html

Backward lunatics - A Jerusalem rabbinical court condemned to death by stoning a dog it suspects is the reincarnation of a secular lawyer who insulted the court's judges 20 years ago, Ynet website reported Friday.

According to Ynet, the large dog made its way into the Monetary Affairs Court in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighbourhood of Mea Shearim in Jerusalem, frightening judges and plaintiffs.

Despite attempts to drive the dog out of the court, the hound refused to leave the premises.

One of the sitting judges then recalled a curse the court had passed down upon a secular lawyer who had insulted the judges two decades previously.

Their preferred divine retribution was for the lawyer's spirit to move into the body of a dog, an animal considered impure by traditional Judaism.

Clearly still offended, one of the judges sentenced the animal to death by stoning by local children.

And the icing on the cake - the judges sentenced the dog to death by children stoning it - barbaric, ignorant, superstitious fools and they have nuclear capabilities - God help us all...

Nice to see you conflating the judgement of one rabbi with the Israeli nation.

My God! Heights of ignorance of the Jewish court!

So pleased to know that: The canine target, however, managed to escape.

Well the other judges where conspicuous by their absence of comment or overruling him and his poor judgement eh Tony.

A dog the reincarnation of someone the judge had a problem with before - call the witchfinder General - He'll sort it out good and proper!

Backwards beliefs - beggars belief!

So? It's just a religious court which deals with civil matters (like divorce etc), it's not criminal court nor is it the Israeli government. So there is a whaco religious court in one small part of Israel, what are you saying?

What has that got to do with nuclear weapons etc?

Oh i don't know, maybe the mindset, maybe the beliefs of people in positions of authority, power/influence A judge who ordered a dog stoned to death, do you realise just how stupid this sounds, add that he wanted kids to do it and you get a picture of a dangerous man with misguided beliefs and judgement - inflicting this on young, impressionable and vulnerable minds.

So are you saying that the civil judges never move onto or even hold positions within government or influence - dream on.

Funny, if this was the Arabs, not Israelis Tony you would be all over it vocalising your many opinions on how backward, brainwashed and in some cases dangerous they are...History tells us you would!

So what power/influence does this particular Rabbi have over the Israeli state and government then?

Time to put up or shut up.

I don't see many Israelis defending him.

PEOPLE get sentenced to being stoned to death in some Muslim countries, that is a BIG difference. Not to mention other awful and unjust punishments.

Hmm so this is what the original article said:

"It was ordered by the rabbis because of the grief he had caused the court," he said. "They didn't issue an official ruling, but ordered the children outside to throw stones at him in order to drive him away. They didn't think of it as cruelty to animals, but as an appropriate way to 'get back at' the spirit which entered the poor dog."
So basically a Rabbi asked some kids to throw stones at a dog which was hanging around the court.

A bit cruel to animals maybe not that is about it.

Sounds like you cages is being rattled, 'Put up or shut up', a phrase you are very familiar with and seem to ignore when asked for evidence.

Lets turn it around slightly as i have nothing to defend here and you are the one squirming and doing you best to defend the indefensible acts of a fruit-loop Rabbi and his backward religious beliefs

My points which you are trying so hard to ignore are that a judge civil or otherwise is a position of power respect and influence - wouldn't you agree?

Also. the judge thought nothing of sentencing children to stone the animal to death - not good for the children or the poor mutt - wouldn't you agree with that also?
I see you chose to smooth over my comments So are you saying that the civil judges never move onto or even hold positions within government or influence - dream on. so are you saying this judge is not involved in politics, has not political ambitions or influence??

Finally there does not see to be much uproar other than animal rights people about the judge or his opinions and that fact he sentenced a DOG to death by stoning and him being mad as a bag of frogs, or would that be dogs instead of frogs.

Is it not so much fun when the focus is a little closer to home

It wasn't an official ruling, yet you present it as a 'sentence', when all we know is the rabbi asked some kids to throw stones at a Dog.

Is animal cruelty only restricted to Israel?

So even the Israeli news agencies got it wrong A Jerusalem rabbinical court recently entenced a wandering dog to death by stoning. The cruel sentence stemmed from the suspicion that the hound was the reincarnation of a famous secular lawyer, who insulted the court's judges 20 years ago. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7...082843,00.html

Yes Tony everyone else must be wrong and you are right, that make you feel better, anyhow it is not all about you - it is about barking mad judges and their religions beliefs

Do you not understand how a "stoning to death penalty" is actually carried out?

Bunch of nutters!

Your usual hypocrisy Tony?

You seem quite happy to tar all with the same brush in the grooming thread, I see. But that's ok, they are Muslims, so perfectly acceptable to do that.

Seems your Zionist friends are complete religious nutjobs, just like you. And they have nukes already! I feel so safe!

The nonsense you come out with doesn't even annoy me anymore, every thread you post in you start an argument, whether politics, religion, watches, soldiers dying and so on.

Your complete inability to have a two way discussion, to see others' POV, and to conduct a reasonable disagreement with anyone belies some serious mental health issues.

I suggest you seek some help.

It shows to me that there are religious nutcases everywhere, seeking to control us. These people (all of them) need to be institutionalised.

Careful though Paul, you're not allowed to criticise Israel, you will get called anti Semitic. That is, by the Zionist Chuckle Brothers and other associated members of 'Team Israel'.

Watch out mate!
