What a pain in the **** they are

Or in my case; A thorn in my finger....

Been stuck in there for the past week and tonight I thought I'd steralise a stanley blade and dig it out, as it'd spike me everytime I clicked on the mouse

Should I get a tetnus jab....

(yes, its a bit boring tonight )

It's the small things that seem to cause more problems. Paper/cardboard/plastic cuts are not very nice. But I was stuck with a tiny shard of glass in my hand for quite some time. Not sure if it ever came out.

I had one, a thorn off a blackberry bush, stuck in my left forefinger tip for over a year. It was in so deep, nowt could be seen. I tried the cream, and even the chemist said it wouldn't work..........it didn't.

I finally got so fed up with it that I froze the finger tip where it was by placing it on successive ice cubes for half an hour, then cut an X across where I THOUGHT it was using a new scalpel blade I have for modelling.

Very little blood, due to the freezing, but as I gently squeezed, out it came.........about 1/8th of an inch long and the same colour as my flesh.

It healed up nicely, due, I think to the clean wound, no digging, and the relief from it's constant ****** was immense.

Magnesium Sulphate paste is what you need, put it on and cover and it will draw it out. Worked for the last bad one I had.

I had a blackthorn in the joint of my thumb for 5 years. Tried digging it out, but it was in too deep. 5 years later, it started to work it's way towards the surface, and finally I was able to dig it out.
