How much sleep do you need
I'm a 5/6 hours a night kind of a guy
And when i recently told some friends this they were like no way they need at least 8hrs
The odd time i do sleep for 8hrs say once every month or so, it takes me ages to get going and i have an almost hungover feeling.
A friends wife sleeps 10hrs a night in the week and longer at the weekends iv'e been to their place at 11 in the morning and she's still in bed sound asleep, and no she does not have an exhausting job or stay up late, normally in bed by 10.
Mind you she is a bit of a doppy looking mare, obviously sleeps too much
I can't think of anything more mind numbing than lying in bed all the time, iv'e been like it as long as i can remember.
My mum say's it's because i'm afraid i'll miss something, but she's hardly in a position to talk as she is a bit of an insomniac.

I'm currently getting by on 6ish hours. When I don't have work I tend to wake up before my alarm would go off which is a little weird.
I can't fall asleep very quickly takes me at elast 2 hours to fall asleep once in bed so I frequently see 1am before I fall.

I get about 7 hours in the week, but sadly that's broken sleep, so probably more like 5 1/-2 - 6.
That's down to the kids, I should sleep on the weekend, instead I get about 5 on a Friday and Saturday.

Tend to go to bed between 11 and 12 and will either wake up between 6 and 7 on my own or the alarm is set for 7. This morning however, I was woken to the wife shouting "IT'S 8.30 SHIIIIIIIIIT!!!!"

I get a headache if I sleep too long too. Luckily I don't have to worry about that as I have two 7.00 am alarm clocks called Fin and Tayla!

I tend to get about 7hrs sleep a night. I don't like to lie in at the weekends as I feel guilty when the kids are up and about (anywhere between 06:30 & 07:30) and I'm not.

I'm always tired from doing shift work, and my sleeping hours vary really.
6-2 I get about 6-7 hours sleep
2-10 I get about 9 hours sleep
10-6 I get 5-7 hours sleep
Weekends depends what shift I've been on, or if I drink a lot, I can get 12+ hours

Like chrisdicko, I`m permenantly tired from doing 12 hour shifts. It makes no difference if I have 4 hours or 8 (which is very very rare). So some nights I don`t even bother!
