Tree surgeons - overworked millionaires?
For the last 4 weeks I have been trying to get a tree sutrgeon to come up and do some work at my house./ I have 2 trees in need of serious prining and 4 conifers that need thinning or remioving.
Have contacted 6 different compaies so far and they either don't answer the phone, don't call back from the messages left (note the plural there) or do call back and arrange to come and have a look yet never turn up at the arranged time or any other time come to that.
It's f**king hopeless!!!

I'm in the same boat. My tree is approx 30 feet tall. I asked the council to come and remove mine. They will use a cherry picker to do it and do it for free

When I needed a massive tree removing I called two local firms and both turned up to quote, one was £100 cheaper than the other and was even cheaper than a friend who is in the trade who also got me a quote.
They turned up within a week and job done. They all seemed very happy for the business to be honest.

Why are you sorry? I am a Southerner by birth, but as soon as I could get away form that God forsaken sh1thole and its equally unpalatable inhabitants and move to a proper city called Manchester with proper music and proper people I did.
