I had a tomahawk which was between the budgie and the chopper, but didn't have the gears. Best bike was my mates striker which would lock the back wheel if you back pedals so great for skidding round corners

Tomahawk followed by Grifter here, I will admit that the chopper was better at wheelies though. Killed the grifter doing jumps more suited to a bmx, the thing was just so damn heavy and the front forks bent.
I'll never forget how crap those sturmy archer (I think they were called that) gears were.

Didn't all Grifter lose all but one of the gears? Lol. I was stuck with the REALLY hard one to turn. Can't remember if it was red, blue or yellow though. Built like a tank. Then it was on to a burner with pegs. Happy days.

I had a boxer but always wanted a Vector, look at it, it's so sci-fi! I think at the time StreetHawk was on the TV as well

OMG this takes me back
I had a Grifter XL (grey n red ltd edition)
Then made the change to BMX, my 1st being a Mongoose Decade with 6 spoke skyways
Before getting a Haro Master in 1989
Still like to watch the vert guys like Jamie Bestwick but Matt Hoffman and Dave Mirra will always be the legends
