Day after the night before
Oh my god i feel like crap, i was out all day yesterday and into the very early hours, i'm way too old to keep doing this to myself, in fact why do i keep doing this to myself?
Why don't we or at least me learn that it's not good and just not do it??
I'm still drunk and i'ts 10.30 i hate being drunk in the middle of the day.

I assume you had a good time? If so then it was well worth it. Look forward to the next time and try and factor some soft drinks into the party so the come down is better

Ditchmeister - how old are you out of interest?....
I have found as I've got older (now 41) that even just three or four beers really ***** me up.... feel terrible during the night/next morning....
Trouble is it just tastes soooo gooood... mmmmmm Duff....... gah!

Did this also on Sat night. 44 and still think I am 21
2 pints of lager, 2 pints of bitter, 2 pints of pear Cider, 2 pints of normal cider, 4 x vodka kicks.
Threw up on the way home, threw up at home, threw up taking kids to swimming, Came home, spent the rest of the day in bed. Still feeling bad today..........NEVER AGAIN!

You old folks, you just can't keep up!
In all honesty I don't drink that much at all when comparing it to my single, childless friends.
They are still out doing the Saturday night thing. Whereas Saturday night for me is a Chinese, a couple of beers and a ****, and that's a great night for me

I've virtually stopped drinking for exactly this reason. I hate it taking 3 days to get over it, now prefer the odd beer or a good scotch and that does it for me.

In honesty i certainly lose the next full day to a hangover when i go out....which is not so often these days, and at £4.40 a pint of Peroni and £3.80 a pint of Heineken export i cant say i'm that bothered about it

Im 40, I just tend to self limit on quantity, rarely go past a few cans, say 4 as cant be bothered with the aftermath, it isn't age, its intelligence to not drink until I feel that bad !
Just had a vision of Hysteria breathing Stella and Spare rib fumes on her significant other !

When I say I ,ike to have Chinese food, all I actually eat is chicken and rice in soy sauce, as I don't eat spicy food, but I do like Stella. Although I am sticking to Rose for a while to lose a few pounds

id echo the soft drinks sentiment .
After the initial few pints , a lemonade or anything similar in a glass makes you suddenly realise any more beers is purely to get drunk and feel rough later
And actually metabolism may have been better 20 years ago ,but not that much better
