iPad 2 - Black or White
Fancy a iPad 2 never had one but do have an iPhone.
Going for the entry model 16 wifi but cant make up my mind on colour.
Think I will end up with the Black, but what are your thoughts ?

Don't get an iPad. 1 or 2, black or white, doesn't matter. Just don't get one. If you have an iPhone, why do you need a bigger version of that for? It will be quite boring, wouldn't it? You can't even make a phone call on an iPad, FFS!
I had a high flying gentleman on a training with a compact netbook. I asked him where he got his netbook from. He said he got it from Tesco for 200 quid. It carries all sorts on it including wireless internet connectivity , films, games, Word-Pro, PowerPoint, upgraded excel versions and the lot. I suggest you get one of them proper things instead. That man said he has both iPhone and an iPad as well, but to his frustration, he puts his iPad on his ears by mistake, because both bricks look so very similar. The other one is even a bigger brick! He has given his iPad to his kid, he said.
If you still want to get an iPad, get a black one. Black is beauty.
If you are a woman, get a pink cover with diamonte tacky-ology for it from Ebay.

Turbs, you were doing OK up until the highlighted section and then I can't help thinking the guy is a complete **** and you need to stay away from him.

Even then, OP or anyone is better off without an iPad IMO. If he/she is determined to get one, he/she can get one as long as it is black, like!

He wore the same, grey corduroy trousers all the time. So, he was off my list of "keeping in touch" types, anyway. Shallow, I know.

Its not to show off, as it will never leave the house. Ive got a Dell laptop for work and carry that around with me all day.
The iPad is to sit of the sofa in the evening flicking from Facebook / twitter and forums. And checking personal email.
Decided on a Black .... Going to see if i can get one in America and maybe up grade to the 32g for UK 16g money

I've sent mine back after 2 weeks under warranty for a refund, was a refurb that was supposed to be as good as new but unfortunately it wasn't. The good thing about it is the instant on and instant off if you want to check the web or your emails quickly so whilst I had it my laptop was never used in the evening whilst sitting on the sofa.
However I found the resolution poor for the cost of the device (and would never have paid full whack for it) and the fact the ipad 2's resolution hasn't been improved means it really is only ipad 1.1 and not ipad 2 at all.
The resolution of the screen would have to be vastly improved before I ever consider another one.
