Yes, i believe it has a higher velocity that say a 20mm cannon shell and will do as much damage but with a much higher rate of fire (50cal machine gun)

I have fired a Browning .50 cal machine gun but it does not sound half as good as the 30mm Gau-8/A Avenger cannon on an A10 Thunderbolt being fired directly over your head

Yes, you can tell by the human shoulder and arm as it goes flying, since the clip was posted originally some 8+ years ago there has been a lot fo speculation as to its authenticity. either way 50cal sniper rifles are in daily use against terrorists and insurgents and making mincemeat of them which is a good thing
