Default Ipod Touch opinions

Just wanting peoples views on whether this is a worthwhile purchase?

I keep looking at them, and Ebay prices for 2nd Gen ones are very cheap now, however I own a HTC Desire HD (and no i'm not swapping it for an iphone!!) I just like it because it's a gadget I supose, I have an Ipod Nano 4th Generation which is used in my car mainly hooked in to the stereo so the touch would be used the same way.

Anyone have one and are they any good?

Is it worth while when I already have a Desire HD?

Cool

I have a 4th gen Touch, and it's great, but, if you have a Desire HD then I'm not sure what else you would gain(apart from Facetime).

No.

I have a Desire HD and the wife has a Touch

The Touch doesn't do anything the HD can't - at least for my needs anyway. Don't know what version her Touch is but my HD screen is bigger.

With the HD, I don't really need my Ipod anymore.

The iPod Touch is great, but not if you have a HTC Desire as they essentially do the same thing.

We have a touch plugged into a B&W Zeppelin in our kitchen, it's lovely to look at and muck about for playing music, artist cover flow, playlists and all that.

Colleague has one he brings to work everyday, downloads comedy shows from iTunes and watches them at lunch

Sounds like your HD does everything you want, but you're a tech freak and have some readies burning a hole in your pocket. Buy an iPad! :-)

I have a Touch and I love it despite being an Apple Sceptic, I also have an Archos 7 inch Android tab and it does things pretty well, but critically, not as well as the Ipod, would lvoe to report it spanks the Apple product but it doesnt, the Touch is perfect at what it does.

Battery is dying on mine but I will get it replaced, have had it two years now and used it every day, might get a new one, Ipad is too big, migth as well use my laptop or desktop.

I'm actually half interested in I-pad's especially as they are dropping in price now with the Ipad 2 around the corner, I would probably only buy one though if it's a real alternative to my aging laptop, it may be as the Mrs has now graduated from Uni so no more assignments to write and it only gets used for web browsing these days.
I would just buy the basic Wifi version not interested in the 3g

The games play smoother on the ipod touch than my Galaxy s. They are a cracking device and internet on them is similar to the iphone once in a wifi area. Always go for the biggest size as they fill up quickly.
