Exclamation 'NATURAL DAYLIGHT' ALARM CLOCKS...?!?!

...Are they any good for heavy(ish) sleepers?

If so, any specific product recommendations?

I have one of these, Have to say its the best alarm clock I've ever bought, http://www.philips.co.uk/c/light-therapy/hf3463_01/prd/
There are other in the philips range that have an ipod dock in them so can play fav tune etc. I prefer to use one of the natural sounds ie the birds tweeting. Light comes on at a low level about 30 mins before wake up time.
There are a few other makes as well, not sure how good would be for a heavy sleeper as I'm a light sleeper, but as all have the standard bleep bleep type alarm as well can't really see a problem. Suggestion would be to try and borrow one and see if get on with it.

Many thanks - think I'll probably get one.

Can't wake up naturally with a radio - keep falling back to sleep (heavily!). It's beginning to hack me off now.

Any other people's experiences...?

Aparently blue light is the best way to wake up. Saw some scientific test on it a month or so ago.

Just remember to turn off your "red light" outside your bedroom window or else you will end up bathed in purple

Ah yes, I remember that (although had forgotten about it). Cheers for the reminder.

I've had one for a few years, but it's backed up with a small buzzing alarm clock as well. I don't trust it to wake me up on it's own, but I definitely feel more awake/alert if I use it compared to the few times when I forget to set it.
