Default JUST BEEN PULLED

Just been pulled for having fogs on with grill over the top, get this while in a car park........

I wasnt fined thank god just a ticking off but I thought the cop had seen me using the loud peddle just few mins before.

He said theres a scam going on at the min where ppl are taking pix of on coming cars with there fogs on and than crashing on purpose and putting in huge compo claim stating the fogs blinded them. They then obviously have photo evidence to prove this. To counter the question I had about why the person would be taking the pic in the first place the passanger stated that he did this as he was nearly in a accident previously due to fog lights and he now takes pix of anyone driving with them on if he`s a passanger.

Whether the above is true or not i`ll leave that up to you but if it is thats one hell of a scam, the cop said the driver and the 4 passangers all put a claim in for whiplash adding upto just short of £15k. The driver was also fined £7k !!!

If you're from Morley, you don't need the fogs to qualify

I've noticed these a lot recently, 'Follow me home lights' or something. Not sure about the safety aspect as I tend to look as one light fades on and off, taking my attention from the road. I really don't see any benefit in them

pulled for fogs on in car park = bs, more to story, shoulda just told the five-o to jog on unless you were up to no good anyway.

Other stuff about fogs coming on around corners and the odd new running lights = effing retarded and what the hell was wrong with people just using the right lights for the conditions, using their own judgment. Oh no, sorry I forgot that it appears 90% of people are motherf***ing idiots.

go world

Precisely! Sitting about telling people about bizarre insurance scams due to use of fogs is a great use of taxpayer money. People still shouldn't have them on but I'm sure there are worse crimes going on outside of little car parks.

It probably wouldn't be that hard to convince a judge (especially one savvy to the 'scam') that the accident was caused by the idiot concentrating on taking a photo rather than driving safely. How good would that be!

Follow me home lights are something that some security systems offer - had it on a clifford on a Saab 9000, you press a button and the headlights come on for a set time. Quite handy to light your way up to your door on a dark night.

The legacy has dedicated turning lights that come on when you indicate. They point to the side and are quite handy when turning at night in narrow country lanes etc.

My headlights work fine on tight country lanes. Although I concede that more light could be good for greater visibility, I just don't see there is a requirement generally.
