Citylink fail
I paid an incredible £25.99 for a Saturday AM delivery that failed to turn up thanks to Citylink
There was no tracking link all day yesterday but today it shows as delivered 08:06 yesterday with the signature :
L/Safe:POSTED 26/02/11 08:04 These goods have been successfully delivered.
Does anyone know what L/Safe:POSTED means in Citylink speak? cant ask them now as they are closed
I hate Shttylink !

City link have done this to me a few times so i don't use them..
BTW them tracking numbers won't always come up with your order, sometimes the tracking numbers haven't been cleared from when they were used on a previous order that someone has had..
This happens more so with city link

I have had this happen once or twice, said left it by side gate etc (even though this is visible from front of the house so in theory anyone could see it) but was nothing there when I got home so no telling if they actually left it or not.
I called them and reported no item at address. Few days later I got another one of the same item delivered.

They have lost the contract from my work recently due to their ****ness. After christmas it took 3weeks for a parcel to get from their Belfast depo to my work also in Belfast. Couldn't pick it up either as they didn't accept calls during this period.

A lot of mail order companies use them (they must be cheap), but half the time I have problems. Tracking numbers not recognised or item sits in a depot for days, usually.
DPD, on the other hand, are always ace. Ordered some brakes from Ian at Godspeed last week, DPD text me next am to say delivery would be 16.39-17.39. They arrived at 16.40!
Why can't they all do that?

Tracking number is the consignment number, each is individual to the specific consignment funnily enough.

The plot thickens....
It was POD on Saturday as delivered now the tracking shows loaded on van this morning for delivery! - you cant have it both ways!
Sucks of Saturday shift cant be assed to deliver and just POD it. Waiting for shttylink to call me back
First job of the day when I get into work is to cancel our rather large Shttylink contract

Obvious its sill depend on the area you live.
Where I live City link is 100% spot on. Even in the snow over winter, everything came through on time
Parcel Farce on the other hand...the sooner they stop using posties working off-duty as owner/drivers the better....for all you know your 'next day delivery' parcel could be bouncing around in the back of a Nissan Sunny for the next week before being dumped at some random post office.

Chelmsford, about 3 miles from their depot...
Today I spend 2 hours on the phone to them, first they say it was delivered, then they say its in their depot. When I say I will collect they then change their mind again and say its on the van.
Shtty link say the driver's mobile phone is broken so cant call him..
Much bollocks later they turn up in a car to my place of work with a laptop....

Its not about the distance; I meant the area in which that depot covers. If that depot is shyte, the deliveries in that area will be shyte, regardless of distance.
My depot is Birmingham...they are spot on.

They are all as bad/good as each other and depend largely on whether or not the drivers can be bothered to stop and deliver.
I've just had a ding dong with UPS who claimed their driver couldn't deliver without a street number! I have no street number, it isn't uncommon in villages FFS!
In fairness the girl on the phone was superb and contacted the driver then called me back to say he was on route again. I only knew he'd been in the village from checking online tracking.
It appears he couldn't be arsed to stop, look, ask or even phone me. On his return he found me, in the same spot too, I hadn't moved!
