Shame, really enjoyed his performance in The Lost Boys and for him to dies so young.
Interesting reader comments at the end of the bbc piece, seems he was friendly and all round nic guy despite his drug problems.

He was on a montage shown during last night's BAFTA's. I hadn't realised he passed away last year and did not check the date!
the news of his death was on my email homepage and i assumed it was recent.
That reminds me that assumption really is the mother of all ****-up's!
