Let me start this by saying that I am a twonk.

I was out last night and lost my phone....

I want a phone that has :

a qwerty keyboard with buttons, not on the screen
A torch
A full size screen that views propper web pages, not that mobile c**p, especially ebay as most phones wont do the REAL ebay site
A function that lets me drop anything I want onto multiple desktops would be nice

I had a N900, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_N900 this is now discontinued and can't find another phone that has the same functionality as it was open source linux based, more like a desktop pc that had a phone function

I haven't had an android phone, I have had symbian and do not get on with the software, I do not under ANY circumstances want an Apple.

HTC are releasing a new one soon, code name pyramid afaik, onscreen keyboard though

dont get an n900, buggy as hell from my experience with them

I think I will go and get a BB Torch later then. I am not paying money for a phone when I can get one for free unless I don't like the android either , then I might sell it and buy a couple of them off ebay, I lke the fact that the N900 is more like a desktop pc than a phone

i had a htc touch 2 (i think) with a slide out keyboard
didnt keep it long as it has an issue with the camera
but in the time i had it i never used the keyboard, always the onscreen one

I know, I pay for it as part of my monthly package, I know it's not 'free' but I mean I don't have to pay when I get a new phone. I could just renew my contract and get money off them or a reduced monthly payment and no warranty, no good for me as I have a replacement phone every few months due to me dropping it off scaffold, into mud, getting it wet etc and pay nothing more than my monthly bill.

Couldn't get a phone lastnight due to vodafone not updating their records when I sent an N8 upgrade back due to me not liking it. all sorted now so will be going for one later.
I've since seen the HTC Desire Z so think that fits me better, any others I may have missed?

Irritating when they don't update their systems for days and leave you hanging.
Depends what your network has but there are a few of those style phones out there. Motorola milestone.
