Default Big phone bill this month vodafone

Hi everyone, just to cut along story short my mobile phone bill this month is 147pound which should normally be about 45pound,normally dont use the phone much at all maybe 200minutes a month, anyway couple of weeks ago i phoned 118 118. 2 times one call was 47pound and the other 9 pound, now i thought this would of cost no more than a couple of quid, but ive later been told theres hidden charges from vodafone and 118 charge you for the full phone call at 42pence a minute, the other money was from ringing a few insurance company.s as ive only had my subaru a couple of weeks, does anyone know if i can do anything about this as i think vodafone have took the **** massively.any advice welcome thanks.

Just googled this.

It costs 79p from a landline, but as much as £2 per minute from a mobile.

From the blog here (http://www.aqa.63336.com/blog/mobile...18-dq-service/ )

It has

Network - Cost of a 1 minute call

O2 - £1.00
Orange - £1.55
Three - £1.95
T Mobile - £1.50
Virgin - £1.00
Vodafone - £0.79

I was under the impression (hence I don't use the service), that a 118 call, if they want to put you through, the ENTIRE call is charged at the 118 rate......

An insurance company call could quite easily run up to £50-odd......

Probably would have been cheaper ringing up a **** **** from the pages of the Daily Sport and asking her for whatever info you were after.

Might have been wrong though.

I got ripped off by Vodafone nearly 18 years ago. I vowed then never to give them another penny. Back then choice was limited to Cellnet, Vodafone or Mercury 121. I made the wrong choice.....
Feel for you, Mate.

I rang up a £437 bill with Vodafone last July, all in two weeks.
Deserves the missus right for ringing me up on Holiday in the States.
She did pay it..

Rip offs as far as the eye can see. Thats a terrible charge on the 118 bit!

Never call these people unless you know exactly how much it will cost (which they get coy about or make difficult). Just Google from your phone and save the price of a pint

Its the same as 0800 numbers being outside your inclusive minutes - bloody grabby thieves!
