I'm defiantly interested in seeing this even if I wasn't as impressed with NCFOM as some of the critics who fawned over it. Good film though.

It does look good, but an almost word for word remake of the Duke's version.... so there'll no no shockers just comparisons...

I find it difficult to understand the remaking of "classic" films:

True Grit
The Thomas Crown Affair
The Italian Job
The Pink Panther etc etc

Wonder how long before we get Bullitt or The Graduate remade??

Loved the original, but wasn't it the Duke that made the film work?

Aye

Mattie Ross: Trust you to buy another tall horse.
Rooster Cogburn: Yeah. He's not as game as Beau, but Stonehill says he can jump a four rail fence.
Mattie Ross: You are too old and fat to be jumping horses.
Rooster Cogburn: Well, come see a fat old man some time!

Thr girl on the original was young, but surely she wasn't 14 yrs? I feel rather indecent now!

I've seen it, but TBH, I didnt even know it was a remake
I thought it was OK, quite a few recognisable face's in there. Only trouble I had was understanding what Jeff Bridges was saying sometimes.

But lack of ******* was a little disappointing. Can really make a film.
