Another labour failure to be reversed hopefully
I like the idea of kicking these people out their homes and taking away their ill gotten gains

ASBO's were always going to be a waste of time.
Children need disciplined full stop.
When I was at high school in the early 80's you wouldn't have said boo to a teacher, because you'd know full well what would happen.
Criminal behaviour orders - another waste of time and effort.
These will be superceded in the future - just like asbo's

Agree with the above. They go on about making it simpler.........
Criminal Behaviour Order can be attached to a criminal conviction...? Crime Prevention Injunction as well as an order. 5 people have to complain from a set area, so if only 4 complain or one is just outside the area nowt happens. If the same person complains 3 times, what if on the 3rd occasion someone else phones on their behalf – does this count – what a load of bollox.......
The ASBOS were a lot simpler – one phone call initiates it as a crime, then the police lock them up. The reason they fell down was that the punishments were a joke.
The good thing with ASBO’s was that if we don’t catch hold of them straight away, we attend their parents address and search the house – at 0100hrs, 0200hrs, 0300hrs, 0400 hrs............ and the next day and the next day..............and their mates addresses......
The government have taken away a useful tool and replaced it with a receptacle of manure. They should have kept them and increased the sentences attached.

Why do we need ASBOs anyway? Can't the police just lock the b"ggers up for whatever they're doing? Weren't ASBOs just an "alternative" punishment? Meaning that what they punished was a criminal offence anyway, thus the police get involved, thus the scoats should be off the street ...? Or have I missed something?

There is basically nothing different to what we had with ASBO’s, protection orders and direction powers were all in place already.
It now seems totally bureaucratic, with police having to apply for court orders to deal with offenders as opposed to being able to arrest them straight away for a breach. Also, only being able to react if the right number of people have phoned in at the right time.
