Default Koi Carp

Well my partner and I have finally decided it's time to knock a young en out, so in preparation of this I want to get rid of the pond, first thing is obviously getting rid of the fish, I would like them to go in one go, there's about 15 of various sizes.

I'm not sure how to do this and wondered if any of you guys knew of any specialist websites or any other way of doing this ?

Cheers DARB

Many people are nervous about buying Koi now because of the Koi virus which only shows itself during prolonged hot weather. Have you added to the stock recently?

It's a strange market as you can see a 15" Koi at the local nursery for £600 and then see an ad in the local paper from an old lady who just wants a good home for her large Koi on a FOC basis.

Are they anything special or just run of the mill fish bought because you liked them?

You could phone locally and see if a specialist is interested but I doubt that will get you very far.

Otherwise I think it is local ad on a "good home wanted" basis. Buyer to collect. But unless they are specimens don't expect to get much, if anything, for them.

Try and let them recover from the hard winter before kicking them out

I'll let you get on with "knocking one out" as you so delicately put it
