Admission to Schools
Our daughter is due to start Primary School later this year. Our preferred school and incidentally the nearest to where we leave is a C of E school.
Neither myself no my wife are religious in any way, although my wife was brought up Catholic. Our daughter was never Christened.
Just wondering what the deal with prospective admission into said school. Will we have to comply and get our daughter baptised/christened etc ? Do we have to turn up to Church for a few weeks - to show willing ? Or will the school just accept us.
thanks

Update: just spoken to the wife and she reckons that part of the ease of us getting into the local school, was because we only moved to the area near the end of that August. However, IMHO, best to ring the school and find out for sure!

You won't have a problem unless you are an orthodox Jew or a member of the Taliban when they might just raise an eyebrow
Anyway it might do your daughter a bit of good to have a C o E outlook on life even though she might want to change her mind when she is a stroppy teenager.

You won't have a problem getting her into a C of E school, I don't know of any schools in my area that are non religious, and C of E schools are generally more open to members of other religions than the schools that are associated with the other religions
