Just go to your local halfrauds. At least you can take it back if it curls it's toes up.

Halfords may have a lot of bad points, but their car batteries are spot on

I don't think you are allowed to ship lead acid batteries wet anyway, so they arrive dry. You then have the ballache, as a man on the street trying to buy sulphuric acid

I bought a new battery for my 2004 STI from http://www.advancedbatterysupplies.co.uk/. No problems with delivery (I think it came by courier) and I didn't have to do anything except fit it.

erm - you sure? Last one I got off the web needed distilled water to make it work. If you are buying it flat, maybe Google could help

We have a Manbat locally and I use them quite a lot for some commercial stuff but the last car battery I bought from Road and Rally a lot cheaper, even though I get quite a good discount at Manbat.

Just spoke to manbat.. they only do wholesale now, so have to go through a local motorfactors anyhow.

I'm gonna order one from alpha batteries, seems by far the best spec for the money, and free delivery!

Try BOM Batteries near Doncaster. Last time I was there, they had the correct square terminal 097 batteries in stock (White as well )

They have them in stock in black.. Cheap too, but the carriage puts it a tad over what I have found elsewhere and they are a bit too far away to collect. Good info though!

Just got an 075 Bosch from Costco for £59.99 same model at Halfrauds is £113.99

took the previous my old battery back to Halfrauds as it was still within its warranty
but they refused to replace citing that it was not a manufacturing fault and i was either
over or undercharging it.

At least with costco they never argue about the warranty.
