Bit of a long shot, are you in IT?
Basically one of the biggest IT suppliers Insight UK are offering a free nano to customers who buy more than 100 quids worth of genuine HP Ink from them this month.
......
As I said, bit of a long shot, I got a flyer in the office this week mentioning it.

I bought the missus a 6th gen nano for christmas.I think that they were fully facelifted from 5th to 6th gen.
It now has a multi touch face-a bit like the ipod touch as opposed to having nothing to interact with,as on the 5th gen-i think.
Yes gimmicky,i know, but you can now display album covers, screen savers, has a pedometer and you can display photos on the albeit tiny screen.
I bought one from HMV for £120 in pink!Expensive, but I got £20 HMV vochers and a £25 I tunes voucher thrown into the deal-I dont know whether this deal is still on though.
Hope this helps

I would go withthe latest nano too. It has been out a while so I doubt many places would have stock of older models. As for where to buy, have a look at the apple website, they might do free shipping on it.
There are very few discounts to be had on apple kit unfortunately

The 5th generation models will be very hard to find now, if at all. I have a 6th generation nano. The user interface is excellent, and its very easy to use. I also got it from HMV with £45 worth of vouchers. Two choices, 8gb or 16gb, plus four colours to choose from. The only downside is its very small which is not to everyone's taste. Also for some reason they changed the location of the charging pin, so while it may work in most docks, it may not charge. Does she have to have a Nano. For a bit more money you can get a touch.
