Punjab Governor Salman Taseer assassinated in Islamabad
Another bad day for Pakistan.
Seems he was assassinated on the pretext he opposed the blasphemy laws.
His assassin was treated to cheers at the remand hearing.
I have to say that Salman Taseer had ***** because he was defying the religious right by standing up for victims of the blasphemy laws.

Yep, sad day for Pakistan and the war against Islamism. Brave man putting his life at risk by speaking out for freedom. Incredibly worrying that his own state employed security guard was able to empty a magazine in to him unchallenged by his colleagues.
