I'm about to start planning my brother's stag do, which will be held late May/early June. He wants to go abroad, but we've yet to decide on a destination. I'm expecting there to be from 4 to 6 of us going.

I personally don't mind where we go, but I have to factor in the my brother's best mate is bound to be strapped for cash, so I could do with a balance of either cheap food/booze when there, or cheap to get there but not so cheap to entertain ourselves.

Has anyone been anywhere abroad on a stag do and have any destination recommendations?

Magaluf. Flights are cheap, drinks are cheap, there are plenty of titty bars and during the day its rad warm too. I went there for a stag weekend a couple of years back and had the time of my life. It weren't even mine eitherastraboy.

Another vote for Prague, a relative got married in prague and its a great place to visit with lots of history, the beer is dirt cheap as well as eating out plus you can get cheap flights and accomodation.

Ended up having mine and the one I organised for my mate in the UK. Turned out to be far to complicated to do anything abroad as there was always someone who couldn't afford it what ever was suggested.

Mine: In Bristol, what was supposed to be a relaxed Friday night, i.e. curry, few beers, etc. ended up being a mammoth session winding up in some really tacky nightclub doing loads of Tequila. Completely fcuked for go-karting the next day but somehow still managed it without puking Soon back on the beers by the afternoon which merged into the evening and before we knew it it was into a lap dancing club. I was bought several private dances and most of the other indulged Top weekend That said if we were in Prague or similar I'd expect to have had my **** sucked dry for the amount we gave the lap dancers

Mates: Newquay, he's from near there so meant more people could join us. Spent the day paint balling which was fun, though maybe not so much for my mate as he was made to run the gauntlet The night was spent touring the bars and clubs of Newquay. Didn't go to any titty bars though

Went to Benidorm for mine. 12 of us..........never laughed so much in my whole life.

Good destination and a good atmosphere. £200 all in for flights, transfers and hotel for 5 nights, that was May 2007.

Oh and Sticky Vicky was awesome!!!!

I remember when people just went for a pint with their mates, then it turned into clubs, activity weekends, then a weekend away, then a week away so god knows what is next, "Stag Years" where you go away and drink till you puke every night and **** loads of tarts !

Same with Hen Do's, when I travel with work, generally you see some hapless bird with L plates on and all her mates wearing Cowboy hats, short skirts and a t-shirt commemorating "Keeley's Hen Do - Venue/Year" .

I bet Hen and Stag do's are a really big reason for the marriage never actually happening these days !

I've found it to be a grey area with regards to cheating. I mean the saying "last night of freedom". Is that absolute singleton freedom, ie ******** around and pulling as many grotty fat birds as poss? Or is it freedom for one last night from the impending dragon which you are succumbing to for the rest of you days, ie last night out with the lads (but no cheating).

Just been talking to the Mrs about stag do's and she's not bothered about me having one when we can afford to get married. Titty bars etc are ok but I'd hazard a guess that if she heard of me cheating on here, ie kissing or more than she would rip my Prince Albert out with rusty pliers.

Did I say that in my post? Did you see the interrogation in my post? You might be strongly against what I said, but for some, that might be/is the case?? If not, may be, just being out with a bunch of mates without one's partner is good enough to be a case? I don't know, hence the query! Anyway, such dos are not for me, though. I never had any other tagged-on dos but the marriage do itself TBH.
