Big 4-0 in June and while I would love to ignore it, it does deserve the mother of all celebrations.......so any ideas ?

My ideal would be to rent a villa in Spain / France etc for 10, go down with family for 10 days and invite people down to stay for 3-4 days at a time - so a 10 day ****-up for me with friends coming to stay over that 10 days.

However, there is the cost (as always) for me and for people to commit to (flights etc) at a time when money is tight for a lot of people - so was wondering about other options perhaps in UK.

The only "must" is that it must - at some point - involve friends - i.e not just go away with family.

Any ideas ?

About £850 for a full day and half that for a half day. Some fantastic cars and great fun.

Family party might be cool but as mine is massive it costs a small fortune and they were well looked after at our wedding just over a year ago so may have to wait until the 50th. Might be easy if my birthday were later in the year as a house / garden party could then be possible.

If you'd asked the same question a few years back then it would have been a night with a couple of high class escorts and a load of coke Not sure I'd be allowed now
