Does anyone drive a car that takes 3 child seats in the back?
They are full size child seats, as in the Evolva 1-2-3.

I wondered if the Volvo V40 or V70 would do?
Its for the wife, so performance is not of any importance

If you want a simple run-a-round for a growing family, then I would go for an Alhambre, Galaxy, Sharan.

7 propper seats in the back, easy for them to get in and out, and you can take them out and make yourself a van.

Easy to drive, and if you get an Alhambra/Sharan with a VW engine - dead easy to work on with acres of space and quite economical

Tried a few but couldn't stomach people carriers and bought an x5 instead, the 4.6 V8 engine didn't sway me at all!
Other smaller engines are available but the IS model looked better in the pre facelifts.

Mr P's cousin fits his twins and son in the back of a Mondeo.

I'm not sure what seats they use, but we had a Mondeo estate last year, and we could fit two recaros in the back (young expert plus and young sport). There was no chance of fitting a third, but they are big seats.

Just wondering, are we talking three seats in the same catagory? Or baby carriers and seats?

I'd rather we avoid people carriers.

Apparently the new A3/S3 will take three child seats in the back, according to two different friends.

you can get 3 in a vectra
