Recomendation for a courier in the Southampton area
Have been googling like mad but can't seem to find any courier that can take a 12kg and 19kg parcel today with out charging extortionate prices - Parcelforce wanted £60 (DHL was £16 for both through Parcel2Go!)
Parcel2Go have let my wife down by not collecting 2 large parcels that were booked Monday. The useless idiots are blaming the weather when there is no snow here at all and refuse to guarantee collection, each day it's the same old story, moving the collection to the next day.
I've tried calling them, wait ages to get to the front of the queue for the phone to ring a couple of times before an automated message kicks in and then disconnects you
Their on line agent help was a friggin joke, most useless and unhelpful person i've ever spoken to who just closed the chat session in the end.

All adhoc collections have been cancelled until after christmas with all couriers that I know of, taking it to a main post office and using Parcelforce might work but all couriers have suspended delivery guarantees since last Friday, so pretty much 0 chance of getting there for chrimbo

Cheers for the reply. Got it sorted by speaking to a manager at parcel2go who was extremely polite and helpful. He had TNT turn up at 3pm on a 24 hour service for no extra cost.
When the TNT guy turned up he said he couldn't understand the issues with DHL taking no collections and that TNT were completely up to date and there was no issue picking our parcels at short notice

Normally for us they have been good where we live but where we are currently they had stopped taking any more collections - yet happy to take bookings through parcel2go even though they weren't going to be collecting before Christmas.
After TNT being so good yesterday I think they may be the one to use in future even if they are a little bit more expensive. The driver phoned about an hour before he was going to be there to collect to make sure we were there and then he turned up within 10 minutes of the time he said he would. Also they had no service issues and the parcels being on 24 hour will be delivered today. Can't beat that service a couple of days before Christmas.
