Neil Wilkinson, of Whitehaven, Cumbria, said the tremor "shook my house and the bed I was lying in.

"It sounded briefly like a large lorry was approaching,it could of been a Waitrose lorry.

 

Just spoke to my mum in Carlisle and she didn't know anything about it yet some friends have commented on arsebook that their flat shook and only live 150 metres away from my mum

 

Sounded like a large lorry hmmm. Blame coke for this, " holidays are coming, holiday safe coming" convoy passing through the area?

 

I think Mr. Wilkinson is trying to sound posh! A Waitrose lorry - the closest Waitrose to Whitehaven is probably Lancaster!

He should have compared the noise to an Aldi lorry

Spoke tom my mum this morning in Whitehaven and they didn't feel anything, just heard a rumble.

Yep in an extended interview Mr Wilkinson said,i am glad the house isn't a newly built,because if that Waitrose lorry had hit the house,we would of been flat packed and washed out to sea,so to speak....

 

Nope.........nothing shook in my area (ten miles north of Carlilse) LOL
