Default Sh**tty National Express Cust Service

My Wife and sister-in-law went to see Lady GaGa yesterday and travelled ny national Express coaches.
Their return journey was today. Now I am fully aware of the disruption etc, however they were meant to change coaches at Birmingham Victoria but all sevices were cancelled due to bad weather, fair enough you may say. They alighted the coach and were told to go to the help desk, which they did. The Lady told them to walk to the train station and pay for their own tickets and claim it back and thats it They didn't know where the staion was or anything, got offered no directions and what would have happened if they had no payment method (which fortunately they did)

Everyone has known the snow was on the way, don't you think they'd have had a contigency plan in place to cope, even if it was a train warrant or something. Now I'll be up worrying until they're back.

Did you expect the girl behind the desk to be some sort of road map genius, she might not even live in that town or city.

She told them to claim the costs back, what do you want her to do, call in the RAF and give people a lift home on a fvckin jet.

Yes and yes if thats what they have to do. After all their company was paid to take them to and from the destination which they haven't. On the website it states;
services en-route to Birmingham will terminate on arrival at the station. We will assist customers who have already started their jouney with us. Not what I'd call assisting really.

See your point blu but at the same time the weather reports are available to passengers too. The other week we had a flight to london but aware of the weather we made our own contingency plans and prepped for a stay over and getting a train back again. There is an element of looking out for yourself too.

Take this one as a lesson for next time. At least it isn't costing them.

5t.

Bet you a billion pounds that is not a contractual arrangement.

Can't you go pick them up? Main roads are not even bad.

Yes I am fully aware of that, its the lack of assistance they have received that has got my back up. There should be someone there at the very minimum to apologise and direct anyone who needs it to the train station.

Yes they have paid and from experience I bet its a tw@t to claim the money back.

You're prob right. But if you pay for something you expect to get what you've paid for.
Pick them up, not really, I have a 5 year old and a 6 year old fast asleep in bed with no one to sit with them! Plus B'ham is quite away from North Wales....

It takes me long enough to get the 5 year old asleep

I traved on the national express once, never again!!

It was a return trip to hell. (Birmingham-London)

Along the way we were verbally abused by some prudish lady, thrown off the bus on the hard shoulder, threatened with being arrested, endured the toilets and put up with a kid who vomited everywhere just outside of Hammersmith.

Your Mrs got a luck escape.

Funny, the last time I travelled with them they just put a video on for entertainment.... I guess the pressure to make every journey an experience increases as time goes on

Tell me about it! I can laugh about it now at least.

The reason for being thrown off was because some pot head sat next to us (at the back) and decided to spark a joint up en route! It was beleived by the bus driver that we were all together.

All three of us were marched off the bus and told that we were going to be left there, and greeted by the police if 'we' didn't own up.
Eventually this bloke owned up and said he didn't know us. So we all got back on the bus to continue our lovely journey.

It was a great start to my 21st birthday!

I don't see why it was even cancelled.Ok we have had some snow, but the coach should get to Birmingham to make the change over,So from Bham City centre to the M6,which should be clear of snow.

Contingency plan this the UK,were run by Politcal correctness, over the top health and safety and dumb f**King idiots...
