Would you report this incident or forget about it?
Tonight, bringing my daughter home from the stables, a single decker bus was on it's way to the roundabout, coming the other way to us. I went across the roundabout, slowly as it was very, very icy.
The bus turned right and came off the roundabout just after and behind us.
We are doing no more than 30, weather conditions permitting and the bus got right up behind us.
My daughter looked out of the rear window and commented how close he was.
He stopped at the bus stop for a few seconds and we carried on.
A few minutes later, he was right on the back end of my car, again. So close, we could not see his headlights.
We were both a bit scared at this time, as the snow and ice was really bad.
My daughter took note of the number plate as the bus had obviously stopped to change his number to "out of service" and was empty.
When we got to the next roundabout, he nearly got us as a car was coming from the right and we had to slow right down. He then proceeded to overtake us as we were going right. He was so close, I really thought he was going to take off the wing mirror.
What pleasure he got from his behaviour is beyond me, but I am not a happy bunny.

I'd report it.
If he's driving like a ****, then he's not driving safely for his passengers.
If it was just a car, i'd write him off as being a bellend, but not a customer service provider that relies on his safe driving skills.

Sounds like the driver was a complete ****! However, put your feet up, get yourself a cup of tea, laugh at the silly man and forget about it.
Thats my advice.

Thanks folks. My daughter agrees and thinks we should at least report him to the bus company. What a goon, almost everyone has been driving very cautiously all day, as two lanes are now one, the other being banked up with snow and the roundabout in question was only one and a half lanes. I nearly went into the roundabout to avoid him hitting the wing mirror.

Thanks, C
I think our lads behaviour tonight was a damned sight more dangerous than yakking on the phone or stopping for a *** break

I have my young daughter in the car with me, there is black ice all over the roads, banked up snow on the either side making the lane much smaller than it should be, about 5 roundabouts to negotiate and you think I should be travelling at more than 30 mile an hour
Considering the area is a 30 mile an hour stretch too. I'm not taking any risks with my childs life or my own.

I would report him personally. Even if you had been doing a little under the limit, you were driving in a manner to suit the road conditions, and he should be understanding. He has no right to put you and your daughter at risk even if you were driving slower.
I'm not sure what it's been like down the road in your area for buses, but ours have been going off at the slightest sight of snow. They've got a bloody cheek tailgating when they eventually bother coming out.

I would report him. The bus companies usually take this sort of thing pretty seriously for obvious reasons. At the very least he will get a good talking to and as has been mentioned it is probably the best thing as the next time he and the person he tailgates might not be so lucky.

It annoys you that someone doesn't break the speed limit (or goes ever so slightly under) when the roads are covered in black ice??
I would imagine Lee doesn't particularly like people on a go-slow in normal conditions, but sometimes people do need to take it easy when conditions aren't good out there.

I'm not trying to wind you up, it really does annoy me. I'm constantly forced to go slow by peeps travelling BELOW the speed limit Just giving another perspective albeit I seem to be the minority so I'll shut up
