Quite amazing story, it worked well though.

The preceding story about the St Nazaire attack on the big dry dock was also a nail biter. As ever Clarkson showed his ability as a serious presenter. What an incredibly brave and capable bunch those men were. It is one of those stories that demonstrates so well what we owe to those who fought for this country's freedom during WW2.

Hiitler condemned all commando's to death as spies after that. At Sachenhausen near Berlin the captured commando's were terribly treated and they used to get tied to a thick wooden stake in the ground. There was a hole drilled through the stake at head height and the **** trainees used to shoot the commando through the hole with a pistol as part of the requirements to become a **** officer!

it is worth considering what would have happened if they had won WW2!

To add authenticity to this, they put a hotel ticket in the dead man's pocket. That ticket was for the Black Lion Hotel in Mold, where I live.

Sadly, the Black Lion is now a B&M Discount Store!
