We just bought an old fahioned espresso maker which consists of boiling water in the bottom half, and produces coffee in the top half.About £7.99
Best coffee I've ever had and about a saving of £200

I've used my Tassimo every day since I got it for chrimbo 2 years ago funnily enough on the same deal from argos. It costs me £6 ish per week to run but the coffee is nice!

I'm inclined to agree here. I've got the Dolce Gusto and even though it is nice, it can make me feel a bit sick afterwards - a bit heavy on the stomach. I also don't find the coffee that strong.
A client gave me a Nespresso coffee a year ago and not sure which one it was but I still had that coffee buzz about an hour afterwards - might have been the blue one???

Never tried a tassimo. We've got a small Keurig at home and it's not bad. We've a much larger one at work, again, not at all bad, especially due to the free coffee aspect of it. Saves going out to Cashbucks or Tim Horribles.
We've a pretty good range of items to select from, light, medium and dark roasts, some butter toffee and cocoa as well. Think there is some organic free trade stuff there too.

Bought myself one of these and cant fault it, absolutely love it and use it at least twice a day, it should have paid for itself within 10 months. The purists would probably sniff at it but for Joe public it's a very nice machine and very flexible in respect to how you want your coffee
Oh and Sainsburys are selling them at 25% off at the moment, real value at £285 imo

I'm yet to find anyone that doesn't ask for another cup once they've had one of my coffees
If you buy one of these make sure you buy a big mug to go with it, ordinary sized cups just dont cut it anymore

Bean-to-cup is definitely the way to go. Getting tied in to refils and cartridges is gonna push the cost per cup up over time. Also, learning which beans give you the flavours you prefer is fun. A French roast is nice after a meal, smooth and mellow, but a Java or Jamaican in the morning really kick-starts you. Being able to chop and change and mix it the way you feel is great, plus buying beans is cheaper than refils, and more environmentally friendly if that's a concern.

Abso wide awake lutely.
We got ours at the end of August having been sold on one in Singapore whilst in one of the Nescafe boutiques. I havent missed a days coffee from this machine since. 27-30p a cup seems reasonable to me and the stronger capsules Indraya (sp) and Ristretto are my favourites at the moment.

The Nespresso seems a good bit of kit what's the difference between the machines. I will only be having a couple of coffees a day.
Any good deals at the moment on them. Thanks for all the help
