Default Phones 4 u

Hi all was wondering if anyone knows any reason why not to get a phone from phones 4 u?

Im after the blackberry torch and o2 want to charge me £120 to get it but phones 4 u are giving it away free on the same contract. Obviously I dont want to pay anything for it but ive got something in the back of my mind that the deal is too good to be true.

Not really any reason not to. Established company, just make sure the t&c's are the same.

If you're after a torch, i'd highly recommend Led lenser.

I got my 9700 off them, everything has been grand. I had to laugh at their sales tactics when trying to push addons, nothing short of pathetic.

Have used them before when Vodafone wanted to charge me for an upgrade they did it for free. No problem recommending them at all

The only downside I can remember was if your phone needs to be repaired, you give it to the shop, who then send it off (even if under warranty) - you won't get a replacement in the shop.

They offered to "lend" me a crappy phone for a fee though.

Apart from that, they were the same - but as you've found, CONSIDERABLY cheaper than dealing with the network directly.

FWIW, Wifey's after a Torch too (on Voda) - had the same thing as you, but when her contract's up, I'm going to call the retentions team and get them to deal with it. Might save the hassle of going "3rd-party"......

I`ve had no issues with em, wiped the floor with O2 direct regarding my last upgrade and contract, been back since to sort a dodgy battery issue too.
