Skilled orator, brilliant cat impersonator and an utterly contemptible man. Have a look for Chris Hitchens v. Galloway YouTube (iPhone won't let me copy the link, sorry), he's given a proper spanking.

Gets my vote.

Don't mind bailing the thick spud munchers out (like we have a choice!) The rest of Europe can go **** itself as far as I'm concerned.

Corrupt appointed fellows, no successful audit for 16 years, want to be in charge of all Eu countries and eventual world goverment. If they succeed, kiss any pretence of democracy goodbye.

Just to clarify, Les, is it your understanding of the long-term political aim of the EU, that they wish to usher in a global dictatorship?

Congratulations.

Why can Europe go and **** itself? I'm interested to the reasoning that has lead you to that position.

I've seen it before, but it makes for such a superb account I'm viewing it again.

Galloway maybe an idiot on some levels, but credit where credit is due, he can aticulate his point better than any modern age politician I have ever known.

The problem with Farage is he comes across as a radical fantasist. If he stuck to the hard line facts and dropped the insultive jokes he'd get alot futher in hammering home his points.

Yes I agree and I too enjoy watching that Galloway clip just for the oratory. Like Churchill or ths Martin Luther "Dream" speech. Farage just doesn't have this and, to me, looks and sounds like a middle ranking car or double glazing salesman.

Shame as I am a supporter of UKIP's views on Europe. Keep the trade links but otherwise tell them to get stuffed

That isn't the impression I get from the post and I'm sure Les will be happy to clarify for me. Of course, a federal dictatorship is much more plausible, isn't it? Just go and view the Farage footage again. Dictatorship?

Europhile (one that loves) was misleading in hindsight. More accurate would be to say that I agree with the broad principle of a united Europe. It's clearly flawed and I support much of the nuanced criticism but would add the Union is still in its infancy.

Having said that, I'm not firmly set, and time and further reasoning may lead to a shift, but I think this is unlikely. My instinct is to fight for complete independance, but for the reasons outlined in the link my head overrules this.

P.S. Sensible?!

Gloria de Piero was ridiculous; I cannot believe this person is a Member of Parliament. She was incoherent and at times hysterical. Great put down from Clarke describing her response to Howard Flight's 'gaffe' as "synthetc distain". Ashdown and Clarke squirmed over the Euro and Farage clearly reveled in it, though I'm not sure he captilised as much as he could. Dimbleby, who I've always respected, needs to remember he's the chair and not a panelist.

Yeah, watch Question Time last night. Farage made some very good points, and got the most applause from the audience.
