Just started reading The Third Man, so this will be a helpful supplement. Pity it clashes with 'I'm a celebrity'.

 

What did you make of it, then?

 

I watched it.

Thought it was really quite interesting. Shows how much of a complex character Mandleson is.

I think he's been the master of the 'dark arts' of politics, he has also ironically been the victim of them too (which annoyed me when he moaned too much about unfair treatment when having to resign)

Good serious stuff, worth BBCi-ing if you missed it

Strange chap. Seems at ease living in grey areas and lack of clarity. As soon as something becomes black & white he nudges it back to confusion. I guess it means he exerts more control if all around him are confused and worried people.

 

Interesting perspective; I hadn't looked at it like that.
