I think it's the function that can be used to "Find my iPhone/iPad etc."

If you lose it, you can locate it and send it a message or switch it off or wipe it remotely.

It used to be something that you had to be paying for a MobileMe account but I believe in the last update it's now free to all users.

I'm guessing your otherhalf can also access it to see where you are or at least where your phone is!

 

My daughter has to change her password everytime she logs into FB with her iphone. She said folks had been able to change her status

There is an app called 'where the flock' or similar, but both people have to have joined.

 

Sorry but if you need an app to find something as big as an ipad of iphone then you should not really be allowed outside....

 

Not to find the item, as if it were lost.

More like a tracking device to find out where your mrs or mr is.
