just seeing if anybody has added a virgin media box to there original set up,
I want to put one in the bed room and I will take the cable from the point of entry into the house by putting a three way box feed in,
hope you all know what I am going on about

Ring up, say you are thinking of leaving due to a better offer from sky or whoever. When they ask about what they could do, mention the box upstairs and installation as a sweetner, jobs a good 'un.
I'm supposed to be paying about £89 a month to Virgin media for everything I have but pay £65.74 after some haggling.
Go on... they love the barter

Just to high jack a minute.
If (for example) your old box just went down and the nice man from virgin media came and gave you a free one could you (if you wanted) unlock all the programming?
I ask out of curiosity in case someone was lucky enough to be given the new cisco v+HD box for nothing (replacing a 5 year old standard box that's fluffed it) and disabled all functions to 'standard'.

No, the services are assigned to the card not the box .. the V+ service would need to be correctly updated on your account too, for you to be able to use the features correctly.

And don't worry, it wasn't a question of would anyone do it, it wouldn't be fair.
I have the V+ downstairs anyway.
Thanks for replying.
