Default Legal/PCN advice please

I've just received a PCN with a pic of my car parked up on the pavement. The thing is it wasn't parked there by me. It was being repaired by a garage at the time and they have parked it up on the pavement right outside their garage.

I picked it up a good few hours after the time printed on the ticket.

Where do I stand?

Do you have an invoice off the garage? As if you do hopefully it will be dated, If not speak to the garage and see what they say OR ask them for a dated invoice first if you don`t already have it, Then appeal

Yes, ask the garage for an invoice. DO NOT tell the garage what's it's for, just say you keep all work on the car documented with the log book.

As pretty much everything is on computer these days, there is no reason why the info shouldn't be there.

I found that going to see the man in charge of the council parking affairs personally was the best way to explain a problem and he was extremely helpful as well as cancelling the ticket.
