Upgrade time- let the fun start
Contract renewal yada yada ..
I'll cut to the chase...
Narrowed it down to two.
Iphone 4
Galaxy S
Both are not without flaws
Galaxy has some issues with video recording, not quite as good as ip4,
but on the upshot the stills camera is better then ip4.
Iphone 4 has no flash enabled, and the stills camera needs an app to make
it offer continous shooting
Decisions decisions

i have just moved my wife from 02 PAYG to the Tesco £10 a month sim only deal -- on my trusty 6310i - when she uses it some young people ask why she has brought he home phone out
i have a BB 8900 for work -- and if I did not need email, I would gladly have my old nokia back, when you use them you remember how lacking modern phones are as phones (I don't have a personal mobile btw)

I am recommending the iphone 4 to everyone now, the android desires and galaxy s etc are really starting to leave the iphone's behind and I am worried if the iphones get left behind to much then android won't have any competition and the innovation will slow down
so please buy an iphone to help keep android ahead of the game

Wait 50 years for the iPhone 453 as it should have all the features of a modern phone working by then. Oh and you will probably dead and not give a cr@p if your identically made Chinese consumer product is better than theirs

O2, checked a few weeks ago and there was no upgrade, not played with it since but it could have had an upgrade pushed to the phone. The keyboard is not as responsive (although not put swype on it like I did with my Android), the scrolling is not as smooth, things don't happen as fast, and it just doesn't have the feel of an iPhone which is a more organic, fluid user interface that is a pleasure to use compared to Android which feels clunky in comparison, and despite apps to SD, things still clog the limited memory too much. The screen on the Desire (non-HD) is not a patch on the iPhone 4 either. I like the open nature of Android, I didn't like having to build a Hackintosh and JB the iPhone to develop for it and then be forced to use Apple's methods.

Genuine question-
Is there a new i phone planned yet? reason i'm asking is my upgrade is due in a month or so and it is an option but i aint buying it to find out an i phone 5 comes out in January.

Im looking to go with the galaxy S
As much as i like my ipod touch, it still bugs me that certain web pages wont
load, and your totally beheld to itunes to do anything.
I like drag and drop, and the ability to surf how i like, & flash is important to
me. Bluetooth for file transfer without restrictions is also another thing i like
IF the iphone allowed me to do the above, it would be a no brainer,
apple had the potential to clean up, but chose not to
oversight? or marketing ploy
lets see what the next 6 months brings
